Kumeu Plumbing Ltd (KPL) is Kumeu’s local Plumbing, Roofing, Drainage and Water Pump Servicing Company. Established in 1974 by Darryl and Lynley McDonald, initially operating from their garden shed in Huapai, Kumeu Plumbing now operates out of their own commercial workshop and showroom at 156 Main Road Kumeu, providing plumbing, water pumps, roofing and many other goods and services to Kumeu and the greater Auckland area for the past 38 years.

Whether you require any product, service, a maintenance programme or simply trade associated advice, we can help you. Kumeu Plumbing Ltd is a strong supporter of Apprenticeship Training. During the course of our 38 year history we have trained over 30 Plumbing and Gas Fitting apprentices to ensure that there is a steady ongoing supply of well trained tradesmen to service the community’s needs in the future.

Darryl, as General Manager of Kumeu Plumbing is very much “hands on” in the day to day running of the business. Darryl and Lynley’s three sons are also in the industry. Marcus, Kumeu Plumbing’s contracts and service manager, Hamish providing sub contract drain laying, and Dominic working for another plumbing company. Daughter Bernadette works part time in Retail Sales during her holiday breaks from Primary School Teaching.

It is very much a family business where the focus on ‘getting it right first time” is of paramount importance. With the benefit of having the “old and the new” we have a wealth of knowledge and experience which we are willing to share. Call in at any time 7.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12.30pm Saturday.
